More floating adventures

Some days are really excellent. The sun is bright, and warm, and everything looks shiny and clean. We were staying with our friends in Winterthur (for those less familiar with Swiss geography, this is quite close to Zürich; but really, don’t say to anyone from Winterthur that’s “it’s pretty much Zürich” because they really don’t like it). On the last day of our stay, we explored Winterthur, which was really a great place. There were some specific highlights (an exceptional little gallery, more on which another day) and some psychotic cats, and we really enjoyed walking around and just relaxing. Of course, sometimes relaxing means floating…

Can’t wait to get back to Winterthur!

  1. That first photo is the best floating photo so far. Looks like you’re slowly descending from the sky and getting ready to dish out some super-powered keister kicking to some villainous goons committing unspeakable chair-related crimes (the chairs are cool – where was the photo taken?).

The second one… am I the only one thinking mid-air David Brent dance/muscle flexing?

    • I think I agree with you that the first shot is the best floating photo thus far! Totally liking your interpretation of it. Thankfully there were no villanous goons to be seen (the area – a converted old industrial area in Winterthur, a city about 20 minutes by train from Zurich – was totally deserted when we were there on a sunny Sunday morning. Prime time for floating escapades).

And as for the second one, now that you mention David Brent…

  2. Imagine how great this would be at music festivals: http://yowayowacamera.com/banana/20110603022627.html

    • Seriously great. CIA and you would never have view issues again!

  3. Wonderful photos. I have only been to the Winterthur in Delaware – never to the original!

    • Thanks for the comment, glad that you like the photos!

Had no idea there is a Winterthur in Delaware too! What’s it like there?!
