A little Luxembourgish graffiti

Why not, right? There’s not much to say about this photo, other than that I was surprised to find this street art in the middle of downtown Luxembourg city, in what is an otherwise pristine, slightly sterile kind of urban environment! The work certainly made a contrast t the derelict building falling down behind it, and the vibrant, bold colours absolutely brightened an otherwise grey day.

  1. These sort of things have popped up a lot in Salford infront of or on the side of rundown buildings and it brightened the buildings up in what is a very rundown street.

    • Hi Hannah,

Interesting! I agree though, it’s awesome when street art can really lift a place, if it is well thought out and people can find some beauty/artistic endeavour in it. Cool to hear of this happenning in Salford, is that where you live?

Thanks for the comment! Hope you keep enjoying 🙂

    • Hey Nienke,

Yes, I agree with you, if it’s actually adding something good to an area, why remove it?! Although this piece seemed to be on temporary/makeshift hoardings, so I guess it is destined to be moved or gotten rid of at some point in time. Where’s the good street art at in the Netherlands? To be honest I haven’t seen so much so far…

P.s. Did you see PJD wrote a piece about Banksy’s work being removed accidentally…
