Did you miss us?

It’s been a great summer, though not without its ups and downs. We’ve missed blogging a lot though.

And so, to kick things off for the new year, here’s a view of the beach and headland at Karekare*. There are some amazing falls nearby, and we kept walking, eventually finding a spot from which we could admire this magnificent view.

We’ve got some big plans this year, and are looking forward to sharing our progress with whoever of you out there is still keen on checking in on us. Whether you missed us or not, here we are again.

    • Nothing like a glacier-volcano combination to produce amazing landscapes!

  2. Beautiful. If those rooftops were Photoshopped out, this shot could almonst look pre-historic.

    • This comment has me thinking of cavemen with polaroids. What an excellent notion.

      • Hey, they COULD have polaroids. If someone time traveled to that period and gave them out. It would blow their wee minds. At least they wouldn’t have to wait thousands of years to get film developed 🙂

      • I can tell you have a practical mind. It never occurred to me that the polaroid would be particularly useful to cavemen for that very reason. But, I fear, they would just use them as kindling!

        Still. The mind boggles.
